Today it has been a very hot day, but they air conditioning at work has now been fixed so that is good :)

It has been two long days, filled mostly with work of course, but we (med and my workmate Miro) have been visiting different restaurants and pubs. I have made GPS tracks of most of the places we have went to. Monday evening we first went to The Den, one of Beijing's oldest bars, where I had some salmon and home-made potatoes. There were too many bones in that fish! They actually had aussie VB beer, which made me remember my year as a student Down Under.

Afterwards we went to The Tree, a small cosy pub which is located kind of in an alley and is most likely nothing you just will bump into.

(My idea was to put up a link to a Google Earth file (.kmz) or similar so that you could get the GPS track how we get from one place to another, but it seems you cannot upload anything else but pictures to this blog :(  )

I have spent some time trying to find an online tool which I can just pass the url of my geotagged image (JPEG) and get a small map back to put on my web site. If you hear of such a tool, please tell me :)

Clock rang 03.45 - too early!! :(  Took a taxi 04.30 to the airport and arrived 04.45 Plane left 06.15 for Schiphol (Amsterdam) and also landed at Charles de Gaulle (Paris) before ending up at Beijing Airport, around 6 am local time (about 12 am Swedish time).

Taxi advice: only go with the taxis that have a sign on their roof. If you just let someone convince you to go with them it will be much more expensive for you (from the Airport to my hotel it should cost about 50-100 yuan).
